what we offer
A few things we’re great at
Sports massage is a helpful way to decrease muscle pain and prepare you for your next sporting endeavour however big or small it is. Whether you have been experiencing jumpers’ knee, throwers shoulder or ankle pain from running, a sports massage can be focused on specific areas of your body and the pains that you are dealing with and help you increase your performance as well as relieve stress and improve your overall wellbeing. For a quality sports massage, contact us today.
Lower Spine
A lower back massage focuses on a range of muscles including the latissimus dorsi, quadratus lumborum and the erector spinae, located around the lower half of the spine. Pain in the lower back can be caused by many different reasons. The main reason for lower back pain includes muscle tightness. A lower back massage helps warm up muscles and increase blood and lymphatic circulation, encouraging more healthy nutrients to be passed around the body and more toxins to be removed.
Shoulder
Shoulder pain and neck pain are common and can be caused by bad posture, a minor injury or an underlying health condition such as:
Frozen shoulder – a painful stiffness of the shoulder joint which makes it difficult to carry out the full range of normal shoulder movements.
Rotator cuff disorders – as Ill as those caused by tendonitis and bursitis, I can also help to treat tears and conditions caused by injury or overuse of the shoulder.
Shoulder girdle pain – by ‘shoulder girdle’ we mean the collection of muscles that hold your shoulder joints together and rotate them.
Torticollis – also known as wry neck, torticollis is defined by an abnormal, asymmetrical head or neck position, which may be due to a variety of causes including injury or infection.
Ankle
Ankle – a region where the leg and foot meet; is of prime importance when we talk about mobility and flexibility. A small strain/sprain in the ankle can easily inhibit your ability to perform seemingly basic functions such as walking, running, driving, or even standing. With the ankle mobility being involved in so many movements, it is no wonder this treatment is gaining popularity in the hyper-busy world that we live in today.
Our awesome clients
Client Testimonials
Dont’t take our word for it – here’s what our clients say:
“Me and my husband have been seeing Alan for sometime now. He is very knowledgeable and approachable. He knows his stuff. He comes to your house and is punctual. You feel safe and he puts you at ease. I’m not gonna lie, it does hurt sometimes, but in a good way after, because I can assure you he will sort out any problems or issues you are having. He’s also seen my sister and mum for back / sciatica issues. I cannot recommend him enough. You won’t be disappointed!”
Cathy Carter
“Another session with Alan. Deep tissue massage, literally ironing out knots in my soft tissue, that only get worse if left untreated, and ultimately hinder my training! Think he should wear a Cape and be called tissue iron man… another session booked up.”
Martin Allen
“Well, where do I start! I have been suffering with headaches for over 6 years and I have tried everything, chiropractors, different sports massages, physio, tablets…you name it I have tried it. Then I saw Alan at the gym and thought I would give it another go, as I was crying in pain and had had a constant headache for 7 weeks. Well, Alan literally has magic hands (and elbows). The difference is phenomenal. I honestly feel like a new woman. Initially, Alan couldn’t even get his fingers in the back, but after a few treatments I have never felt so free to move. I literally can not recommend this man enough!”
